Overview
CotswoldsPlus Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) seeks a suitably qualified provider to deliver a data platform that provides an excellent overview of the performance of the regional visitor economy, that helps to establish regional measurement standards for visitor economy performance, and provides deep insights into visitor demographics, attitudes and behaviour, as well as economic trends within the visitor economy.
The platform will be designed to deliver on the following:
1. Switching emphasis from driving visitor numbers to driving higher quality of engagement and volume of spend.
2. Dispersal of visitors to reduce over-tourism in some LVEP destinations and growing visits in others.
The requirement is for the creation of a data platform that can:
• Link to and ingest data from varied sources
• Display live and ingested data in user-friendly ways
• Allow for custom reporting
• Produce useful insights from all data
• Provide an access permission structure that facilitates easy administration across multiple partners and user groups
• Be commercialised (e.g. paywalls to specific insights, or paid platform access), allowing the platform to continue beyond the scope of this three-year project.
